Reaching the Hotel Gerber Rome
Public Transport : As you can see from the
map above, we’re just round the corner from Metro Station
Lepanto on Via Scipioni, number 241. Lepanto is on the red
‘A’ line.
City Links : Regular trains run from Rome
Leonardo da Vinci / Fiumicino Airport into Termini central
railway station until just before 11pm; while coach services
run from Ciampino Airport in conjunction with Easyjet flights.
These are the cheapest and most convenient forms of transport
other than a taxi or private limo – which we can organise
for you if you let us know before you arrive.
Taxis : A taxi from Rome’s central
train station should cost under €25 before 11pm, while
fixed prices are in operation from the two city airports -
€40 from Fiumicino and €35 from Ciampino at the
time of writing. After 11pm it’s on the meter, but we’d
strongly recommend you take public transport at least as far
as the city center, as cab drivers in the city and around
the airports can be unscrupulous to say the least. |
